Not a typical happy beach summer 2019 post...I wish I could do more than just an Instagram post, but I m trying as much as I can... Due to the hottest month in the history of our Planet, the Arctic circle from Alaska to Siberia is burning with severe wildfires as big as 100,000 football pitches, releasing huge amount of CO2 in a month as the whole Sweden does in a year. The tremendous plams of smoke can be seen from space, polluting more and more cities in Siberia, my Motherland. Soot from the fires is settling on surrounding ice, speeding up the pace of climate change in the Arctic, which is already warming twice as fast as the rest of the world...I am really scared for the future of our species...
