I bought this pink Texas hat on a layover in Houston a few years ago and I've worn it for the past four days because my bro, his wife, and my three little nephews all live in the Lone Star State and I can't stop thinking about what's going on down there. (Also, who wants to do their hair in the summer?) They're all safe, but so many people aren't. How much did you love that image of the black rescue worker carrying two white children to safety through the floods and the rain? A poignant reminder of what being a hero means today, and that hope and survival transcend race and creed. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the people of Texas. Ps. Text HARVEY to 90999 to donate 10 to the American Red Cross.
